Australian High Commissioner Opens the Revans Action Learning Workshop

Phase 3 of the restoration in Castle Street by IMCA ( following Hill House and Marriotts ) was the old Workshops across the Courtyard renamed Revans Action Learning Worksop. It was a cold day but Reg Revans was there with his Presidential successor in IMCA, Caroline The Baroness Cox, Lord Bowden also a former Minister of Sate for Higher Education Vice Chancellor at UMIST and lifelong friend of Reg Revans, and of course the High Commissioner himself. They appear first against the backdrop of the as yet un-restored Old Dairy.

Reg Revans proceeded inside immediately to christen the Workshop by running its very first action learning session for all those assembled including the two nobles. The photomontage shows some highlights from Reg Revans’ career both as a long jump athlete representing Britain in the Olympic Games and as well as at work.

The two major restorers, Pip Barber and Arnold, are shown receiving a token of respectful appreciation from IMCA’s Council Chairman, Dr James Espey, IMCA’s first corporate client at IDV UK in 1982.

Over the ensuing years the Courtyard and Revans Action Learning Workshop have seen many a contented and not so contented Set Meeting.
