Gift of IMCA's Waterford Crystal Mace by Allied
Irish Banks
Allied Irish Banks in Britain became IMCA’s first £1
million investor in action learning programmes. Led by Brian Wilson,
himself an action learning MBA from Trinity College Dublin, they
put 2000 staffs through customers services, marketing, Executive
Diploma and MBA programmes. Brian Wilson himself joined a CEO’s
Doctoral Programme and gained his own DBA.
To honour that splendid relationship the upstairs Internet Suite
at The Old Dairy was named The Wilson Suite. Allied Irish reciprocated
by getting Waterford craftsmen to create the Allied Irish Ceremonial
Crystal Mace. It is carried to each Congregation around the globe
by the Registrar and taken away by the nation hosting the next year’s
event.
