Papua New Guinea Post and Telecommunications Corporation

Papua New Guinea Post and Telecommunications Corporation, located in Port Moresby, sought the help of IMCA action learning when the company was to be split into two separate entities. The corporation introduced IMCA’s in-company action learning MBA course to prepare managers for the coming separation. The course also sought to enable managers to devise operational strategies for the successful separation of the two functions. The action learning MBA produced successful results for the company and the dissertation topics included:

Five years after the action learning MBA course commenced, the post and telecommunications functions have become autonomous companies. The success of the IMCA courses is also reflected in the promotion of two IMCA graduates to managing director of Papua New Guinea Telecom and acting managing director of Papua New Guinea Post respectively.
