Arthur Young
Arthur Young, an accounting organization, invited IMCA to involve its
staff in strategic change via action learning. The action learning Set
wrote assignments and dissertations as outputs from IMCA courses,
customized to the needs of the company. Effective marketing was not
automatically considered core to the business and computers were in
their infancy at the time. In the United Kingdom, the effects of a
change of Government had not been addressed and merger activity in the
sector had not yet begun. Titles of dissertations from the action
learning projects include:
- The identification of external and internal strategies for the
Liverpool office of Arthur Young Chartered Accountants.
- A review of the UK financial services market with specific
reference to firms regulated by the securities association.
- An analysis of suppliers of accountancy and consultancy services.
- A marketing communications strategy for the Liverpool office of
Arthur Young.
- Making technological change happen.
