Via our innovative "Accrediting Managers at Work" system, IMC Association will build from training providers' existing career development and management programs to enable
them to offer their clients the opportunity to achieve degrees of
membership.
This system allows trainers to deliver to their clients the following
qualifications on the basis that experience really counts:
-
Undergraduate Certificate and Diploma programs to operative staff
-
Associate/ Bachelors degrees of membership and Postgraduate Certificate/ Diploma qualifications to junior and middle managers
-
Master of Science ( Msc )/Master of Management ( MMgt ) degrees of membership to Senior Managers
How do we do this? IMC Association will develop a "credit pathway" for the training program (or "input"). As clients of the training company undertake their courses
and continue their professional work-based development, they will also gain credits towards
a qualification from IMCA. We may also be able to award credits for training already completed by your clients for up to one third of the final
qualification.
In addition, because in-company training is the key, training providers working with IMC Association can still provide tailored delivery. We teach training providers to deliver, monitor and
process their clients work, so they provide their own programs in their own unique style.
As a proponent of action learning, IMC Association recognizes that busy managers seldom have time for long periods of study. Action learning is based on the principle that effective
learning and development is achieved through a combination of experience and academic study. By using training providers "inputs" and action learning practices", the resulting
accredited program can provide both an effective development experience and a
qualification.
